Snow Day and My Little Champ

Wow can you believe all that snow? I was kinda fun to have a snow day and just be stuck inside doing nothing all day.I love the snow until January then I can't wait until spring. This was actually the day before but the kids built quit a fort.

And here is my 1st place wrestler. He won all 3 of his tourtament matches and won a gold metal. One of the kids beat him really bad at the beginnig of the season. He has learned so much that today he beat him 11-1. He is so cute when he wrestles and I wish the video I was trying to download worked. Good job C.J.!!!!!

It's that time of year again... and I love it!!!

We took our annual trip to see the lights at Temple Square. This sure is becoming one of my kids favorite traditions.
Nobody would stay still long enough to get a good picture. Oh well.

This hotel has the funnest swimming pool and it even has a water slide.

This little rascal turned 9 months. she loves animals, daddy and playing peek a boo. Unfortunately she has had 4 ear infections in the past two months. So she will be getting tubes in Jan. She weighed 16.1 lbs at her 9 month check and was in the 8 percentile but I'm sure we'll catch up. Mine don't stay little for too long. She is an expert crawler now and pulls herself up to standing. It's hard to believe she will be walking soon.

And lastly my family has had a fun tradition since I was little. On New Year's Eve the kids leave out their Christmas socks and Jack Frost comes. He is one of Santa's tricky elves. He tries to trick them and fills their stockings with newspaper and other things like that and at the bottom is a treat or small toy. This year I made these because I thought they were so cute. It says ... You've been bad so here's the scoop all you get is snowman poop. I thought my kids would get a laugh out of that. Along with the fake candy coal we may leave them a couple dollars.

Wrestle Mania

C.J. had his first wrestling match. Who knew my quiet little C.J. would be such a great wrestler. He won both his matches 19-1 and 20 -2. But whether he wins more or looses some the look of determination on his face was priceless. We are so proud of him.

Our new love for all things OLD ....

Jesus and I have always loved old things. He grew up on a farm in the country. So anything old reminds him of when he was little. My dad always collected antiques. We also went on alot of trips to Nebraska where my dad was from. On the way stopping at pioneer villages, Old buildings and cemeteries.I always loved wondering what things looked like when they were new and who used them. Jesus has been watching the show American Pickers lately. He brought me home this old window one day. So I put it in my family room.

I also have been wanting to refinish my bathroom cabinets but couldn't afford all new ones. This was quit the project. I love to paint but am defiantly not a professional. I get paint everywhere then get all stressed out about it. Thank goodness my husband was home sick to calm me down. Let's just say there where some tears shed in this project. Also some touch ups to be made but all in all I like the way it turned out. And plan on doing it in my master bath but black.

Sorry for the sideways pics. If any of you out there know how to turn them please let me know. I hope to visit our antique guy soon to check out his collection of old handles to add.

Lastly this is Jesus's newest collection. Cool huh?

It's that time of year again!!!!!

Ready for 3rd grade

My big 1st grader ready to spend the whole day at school and even eat lunch there.

I think as a mom this may be my favorite time of year. I love my kids but I think they need time to learn, play and grow just as much as I need a little time to relax and get some things done. Heres for another school year. And in two weeks I get to send another one. He will be in two preschools this year. I get to have Mon.- Thurs. afternoons to train the baby to take naps in her crib and I may even get a nap of my own.

Carson wanted a pictures too. Sorry it's sideways. All my other kids will let me pick there clothes and dress them except this one. Everyday it's a fight. Here's what he came up with today. Lime green flip flops, brown shorts and a red and blue shirt. Not the worst thing I've ever seen but I am very matchy. It takes everything in me to let him pick his own clothes and wear them around.
