Moab Maddness....

It's that time of year again. Hiking, swimming and eating tons of food. Every year we head to Moab for a family reunion to visit my aunt who lives down here.

Do you think they are moving it anywhere? On the way down right before Price a bolder as big as a car had had fallen in the middle of the road. It took up a whole lane of traffic and had barely happened. Luckily it didn't land on a car. (By the way it's not this bolder. This is in Arches.)

My kids love playing on this giant sand dune. It is HUGE!!! Imagine my terror when my little C.J. runs down it at full speed then does a triple flip landing on his neck and face. Not my favorite place. The rest of the trip was awesome!!! We look forward to it every year.

Woman Cave

Jesus has two man caves with all his stuff. Don't ya think it's about time I had my own woman cave? After a room became empty in my house I sure as heck hurried and claimed it as my very own!!!!

My desk which does need handles and as soon as they go on sale at Hobby Lobby it will have some. I'm also looking for a chair at a yard sale or something. I did find the perfect one at DI but Jesus just didn't see the beauty in it and wouldn't buy it.

LOVE, LOVE, Love when I have a good idea that actually works out. Which doesn't happen often. This was a teenagers room . It was practically destroyed. Covered in glow in the dark glue and I'm talking everywhere including carpet, closet andcurtains. Even though most of it is still there( luckily you can't tell unless it's dark) I wanted to make the closets look better. I found this cute damask printed tissue paper at Walmart for 1$. Spray ahesived it to the closet then modge podged over it. It turned out perfect much to my suprise. And ta da a closet makeover for 1$!!!!

This room is still a work in progress but I was so happy to have my own space that I just had to show it off a little!!!

So Random....

This little rascal is 11 months! These are the only two pictures she would let me take of her. She is so wiggily!!!

My version of the acid mirror without the acid ( too scary for me)! I love how it turned out. It may not be for everyone but it is here to stay!!!! I took me many broken mirrors to finally get here. Mirrors just aren't my thing I guess. But it was fun so I might just give it another try somewhere else in the house. And again sorry about my horrible camera. Maybe I will get one for my birthday but until then I have to deal with these bad pictures. Hope you can tell how cute it really is.

On a happier note...

I finally finished redecorating the girls room. the pictures aren't the best because I really need a new camera but oh well. This chair I got from an antique yard sale. It's from the 1920's and it's called a nursing chair. Which I thought was perfect since that's what I used it for but it was actually used for the people who were caring for sick people. It could be scooted close to a bed. I loved it because a full sized rocking chair was to big for the room. You can't really tell inmy horribly dark picturebut it was pink and I painted over it with the blue then distressed it so the pink is coming through.

It was a little hard doing a nursery/ big girl room. I let Kaylee decorate her own wall with her art work. Also the blue picture is a magnet board and the flowers are her magnets.

I also put that little cupboard above her bed as a little place to hide her special things.

Mixed Emotions

Body of woman found in west desert identified - ksl.com

12 yrs ago. someone very important to us disappeared. It affected our family in so many ways. She was a sister, an aunt and most importantly a mom. What a reflief to finally find her so that all the people we love can get some closure. Now let's pray that we will be able to get some justice for this.

Tubes and Ten months

Tess finally got her tubes. It couldn't have come any sooner. She has been so sick the past couple months with ear infection after ear infection. The poor little thing had to have 6 Rocefin shots in her leg the month of December. Finally I think we have sleep ahead of us. She has actually been loosing weight because she never felt like eating. Already in the second day my very happy baby is back and eating up a storm. She woke up very mad and it did take the whole day to get back on track after we had to wake her up at 5:30am. I'm very grateful it's over and she did great!
This little tiny hospital gown is just too cute!!! They even gave her some little tiny hospital socks to wear and this little lion.
She turned 10 months old on Jan.8th . I can't believe how fast this year went by. I'm already starting to think about her birthday. I'm feeling a little sad that she will be one soon but so excited for the next set of milestones!!!!
