It's that time of year again!!!!!

Ready for 3rd grade

My big 1st grader ready to spend the whole day at school and even eat lunch there.

I think as a mom this may be my favorite time of year. I love my kids but I think they need time to learn, play and grow just as much as I need a little time to relax and get some things done. Heres for another school year. And in two weeks I get to send another one. He will be in two preschools this year. I get to have Mon.- Thurs. afternoons to train the baby to take naps in her crib and I may even get a nap of my own.

Carson wanted a pictures too. Sorry it's sideways. All my other kids will let me pick there clothes and dress them except this one. Everyday it's a fight. Here's what he came up with today. Lime green flip flops, brown shorts and a red and blue shirt. Not the worst thing I've ever seen but I am very matchy. It takes everything in me to let him pick his own clothes and wear them around.

Our Summer Project

So this has nothing to do with our project but I had to add it anyway. This climbing rose is in one of our trees. I love it. It is so beautiful. It is probably atleast 20 ft. up.
Ok so on with the project. We have been talking about taking out the old hot tub we never use and filling in the deck forever. After the hot tub cover got a hole in it we finally decided to do it. I was afraid one of the kids would fall in and drowned. What a project removing this was. One thing I am totally confident in is my husbands ability to move ANYTHING!!!

And this is the finished product. It is so nice to come outside and just have a space to relax. After the trumpet vine we planted on the other side of the lattice takes off it will be so beautiful and shady. I also had a fun time buying some cute things from the antique store to go out here.

Their Special Day

What a great week this has been. The spirit has been so strong in our house in preparation of Kaylee's baptism and Tessa's blessing. What a good example Kaylee has been to everyone in our family. What a special baptism it will be with so many people coming to see her that have never seen an LDS baptism or blessing before. Thanks to Kristi for taking some of the most beautiful pictures of my girls.

Lovin those dance moves...

These guys and their dance moves crack me up!!!! My little guy Carson is always dancing like this lately. He reminds me so much of Elaine from Seinfield if you watch that show you will know what I'm talking about.

Our summer so far...

The kids got Jesus a #1 dad trophy for Father's Day

We decided this year to do a mini summer vacation. I think it will be our new summer tradition. The kids had a lot of fun.

We went to Lagoon for the first time with the kids. They had so much fun. Who new with a mom and dad that hate roller coasters they would be such dare devils.

We had dinner at the Myan for my birthday. The kids thought the cliff divers were so cool. THey have never been so still in a restaraunt before.

The most favorite of all was the hotel with the really fun pool and waterslide.

And of course you can't have a vacation to SLC without a trip to the zoo.

Getting so grown up

It seems like just yesterday this little girl was born. She is getting so big and grown up. A couple more weeks she will be getting baptized. What she wanted for her birthday was a caboodle full of makeup and a shopping trip with grandma to the mall to buy whatever she wanted.
